Elevating PE pipe Butt-Fusion Jointing to New Heights

Sapoflow are pleased to announce Sky-Fuzion, our exciting new innovation in Siphonic Roof Rainwater Drainage system installation.

Sky-Fuzion is a Unique Innovative MEWP attachment allowing high level Butt-Fusion Jointing of Polyethylene (PE) Pipes from a MEWP to be carried out fully in accordance with all relevant Industry Standards and Good Practice Guidance for Butt-Fusion jointing PE pipe systems.

Sky-Fuzion combines Quality, Safety, and Best Practice as follows;

Fully compliant with the following relevant Industry Standards for Butt-Fusion jointing PE pipe systems
- BS ISO 12176-1:2017 (Part 1)
  Plastic pipes and fittings – Equipment for fusion jointing polyethylene systems.
- ISO 21307:2017 (Third Edition)
  Plastic pipes and fittings – Butt fusion jointing procedures for polyethylene (PE) piping Systems.
- BS ISO 4427-2:2019+A1:2023
  Plastics piping systems for water supply, and for drainage and sewerage under pressure. Polyethylene (PE) – Pipes.
All Sky-Fuzion attachments are LOLER certified.
Indemnified by a MEWP attachment specialist.
Independently assessed by a structural engineer to certify its Safe working load.
Butt-Fusion equipment used is certified to BS ISO 12176-1:2017 (Part 1)
Sky-Fuzion is securely and safely attached to the MEWP.
The Safe Working Load (SWL) capacity of the MEWPs being used has been assessed to ensure the process can be undertaken safely.
All operators are trained by independent specialists to undertake butt-fusion welding with the specific equipment being used.
Sky-Fuzion Butt-Fusion welded pipe joints have been successfully tested and approved by independent specialists to confirm the quality and integrity of the joints.
Traditionally jointing of PE pipework at high level was undertaken using Electro-Fusion couplers, Sky-Fuzion minimising the number of electro-fusion couplers required, thus lowering our carbon footprint and reducing waste.

Sky-Fuzion allows us to safely deliver “factory-controlled quality” butt-fusion welded pipe joints undertaken on site from a MEWP at high level.
